The Tiffen 6.6 x 6.6" 1 Coral Soft-Edge Graduated Filter helps to specifically add a warm, pale orange coloration to skies and other bright areas of an image while allowing a portion of the image to remain neutrally colored. The filter's coloring is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged transition between the density and clear areas. The 1 color density provides less coral coloration than the 2 density filter but more than 1/2

This filter is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass and grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch. It measures 6.6 x 6.6" / 167.6 x 167.6mm.

Provides a natural-looking warming effect to select areas of the image.
Graduated filter design keeps a portion of the image neutral, resulting in a more realistic look while allowing for the sky or other bright areas to take on the color of the density.

Tiffen Optical Filters

Tiffen filters are manufactured using ColorCore™ technology, a closely guarded proprietary process that entails permanently laminating the filter material in between two pieces of optical glass that are ground flat to tolerances of a ten-thousandth of an inch, then mounting them in precision metal rings. The ColorCore process allows us to control the color and density of Tiffen filters, and the characteristics of special effects filters with much greater accuracy than typical dyed-in-the-mass filters, which usually exhibit color and density variations.
