The Sony FE 1.4x Teleconverter is placed between the back of certain Sony E mount lenses (see Notes) and E mount cameras. The effective focal length is increased by 1.4x, or 40%. It is supported by both full frame and crop frame sensor E mount camera bodies. Teleconverters are useful for shooting sports, wildlife, and other stadium events to give your lens more effective reach.
